Our mission is to make you love your technology.  Whether it be a computer, a cell phone, a game system, or an entertainment center, we want you to be happy with these tools that are supposed to make our lives easier and more enjoyable.

We at Geek Out LLC promise to never make you feel foolish for not knowing something about your technology.  It is ok if you do not know everything.  That is why we are here.

We at Geek Out LLC promise to explain to you what is wrong with your technology in the clearest terms possible.  We want you to know what is wrong so you can make accurate decisions on what to do next.  However, please understand that we may have to run several diagnostic tests before we can accurately pinpoint the problem.

We at Geek Out LLC promise not to pressure you into taking our advice.  We will tell you what we think your best choices are, but in the end, it is your choice to make.

The History of Geek Out LLC

Once, a very long time ago, in 1982, a young man fell in love . . . with computers.  He was certain that computers were the “wave of the future.”  So, he founded a company devoted to introducing this technology to as many people as possible and training these people to use computers efficiently in business, educational and domestic environments.  This man was named Tony Scalone and his company was Computer Experience.

Tony’s enthusiasm for computers rubbed off on his children, particularly his youngest son, Joe.  At the age of three, he was dismantling and reconstructing computers for entertainment purposes.  When toddler Joe decided that a computer chess game was far too easy for him, he promptly reprogrammed the game.  Thrilled and slightly terrified by his son’s computer prowess, Tony began to bring his son on calls and observe repairs and consultations.  Joe was a very fast learner.

Gradually, Tony felt he could no longer balance his love of electrical engineering with his love of computer consulting.  He gave up Computer Experience to focus more fully on his electrical engineering positions.  Both Tony and Joe continued to be obsessed with computers.

After graduating from college, Joe decided to focus on computers.  He was a computer technician, a help desk manager, a network administrator, a security consultant, and a network engineer.  However, Joe was constantly disappointed in the lack of customer service that was provided by these companies.  He decided that he wanted to change that.

Joe decided it was time to resurrect Computer Experience.  This time, the goal would be to educate people on how to use technology and help them through any difficulties they might have with various technology.  With this new management and new mission came a new name: Geek Out LLC.

Though the name has changed, the values remain the same. We strive to make people more comfortable with our technological world.
